This HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed for healthcare providers and other public safety professionals working in various occupational settings, both in and out of hospitals, as well as individuals enrolled in healthcare and public safety career training programs. The course has been approved by the HSI Medical Advisory Board and reviewed by the HSI Advisory Council. It reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC.

Continuing Education Hours are available for Emergency Medical Services (CAPCE) and Dental Professionals (AGD/PACE). Course highlights include scenario videos, full-color digital and printed materials, and clear, concise course content. Upon completion, participants receive a 2-year certification. The class is approximately 5 hours long.
